If you had one of the Palm smartphones running the PalmOS by Bell, there is an add-in program that automates this. Unfortunately I don't know if such a program exists on the Windows mobile platform.

If PhoneAlarm Pro works on the HTC, the program seems to be able to do what you are looking for based on profiles. http://www.pocketmax.net/paLite_Compare.html

Rogers and Fido recently changed so that all new plans don't include call forwarding for free. It is now a pay-per-use feature with applicable airtime charges added or you can purchase a call forwarding option of $3.00 which I believe gives you 2500 free local call forwarding minutes. Older plans still had the call forwarding for free.

I can't believe you have to pay $3.00/ month for that feature! I remember with Cantel it was *21*(call forwarded number) then #.
I also found this feature great for some long distance calls as I'd be in Laval, have a 514 Montreal cell number and when I wanted to call the South Shore 450 area code I'd forward my number to the South Shore number where I was calling for the time it takes to place the call then call my number essentially calling the South Shore number and not paying for long distance.

You should look into no-answer-transfer. It's a feature on my voice plan.

When your mobile phone is off or busy, it bounces to another number, eg. your home number. When your mobile phone is on, it will ring on your mobile as normal, if there is no answer, it will bounce to your home number again. It's all automatic. A side benefit is you don't need message centre on your mobile account because all missed calls will end up on your home phone voicemail. The cost of adding this service is typically less than message centre, but it depends what you already have bundled.

CallerID flows through to your home phone.
You can change your transfer to phone number through your handset. Your mobile number and transfer number must be local to each other.

I love it because people call my mobile, I leave it turned off at home and it rings immediately at home. No minutes charged to plan. I never have to turn on/off call forwarding.

Yes, I know, I used to use that too, but my plan came with voicemail, so can't use it.
