Are you a new customer? Because if you are theres an even sexier deal available for 20$ *taxes & fees included*.

Copied from RFD:

Contact Bill McIntyre with Direct Access in Ottawa (bill@unwiredzone.com). 613-290-9950 who will set you up with what seems to be an unbeatable plan. You do not have to be in Ottawa or Ontario to get this plan. Bill is very friendly and helpful. No hard sell. This is actually a Royal Bank corporate plan but you do not have to be an RBC employee.

To save you the effort of going through all the posts, here's a cut and paste of the plan many people now have:

For $20 TOTAL you will have:

250 anytime minutes
message centre included
Evenings free from 18:00-08:00
weekends free
Caller display
Call forwarding
Call waiting
All fees waived
Unlimited (that is correct, unlimited... as in free) Long Distance to any phone in Canada and US
Additional per minute rate: $0.20

If you are away from home, you can phone LD to your heart's content, assuming you phone with Canada or the US. No charge.

Several phones are available. Blackberry Pearl is free but data is $20/month

HTC Touch is not free. With it, you receive unlimited web browsing for $7. But ask about the Fun Bundle... another $15/month which then gives you the Touch for free and apparently you can cancel the Bundle after 3 months. But with it, you receive unlimited web browsing for $7.

The catch: you do have to sign on for 3 years (but then it seems you also have to sign on for 3 years for the student plan discussed above)

Anybody got setup on this RBC plan above? How did it go?

I've seen other posts on HoFo claiming that a corporation has to pay Bell to get access to these plans for their employees. I find it hard to believe they actually hand over cash to Bell for the privilege of these plans...isn't the idea that they have a special plan worked out for them because of the number of their users and because Bell can expect to have a number of the employees signing up?

The Long Distance on RBC is discounted to $10/mo and is charged over-and-above the $20.00/mo for the plan.

and despite what they say, if it is an RBC plan, it is for RBC employees.

Nope. Its a 20$ all inclusive plan. No extra hidden fees. My friends on it =] Also, if you go into RFD and read the other people's posts, youll see that plenty of people are also on the RBC plan.
