The k612 made easy for cricket with this file

Basicly I rewrote the k612b file for cricket k612 because they are completly differnt phones. This will allow your k612 to be fully flashed with internet and mms guarenteed! all you have to do is change the MDN number (phone number) and the MIN number in the correct areas. Everything else is done.

FYI I would use easycdma to read the SPC code off the phone. your com port should be set to anything below com 16. If easycdma does not read your phone, and this is what I have to do everytime, let bitpim read your phone first, it will give you an error, then exit out and go to easycdma. It will read it right away. Then go to kyocera pst let the pst read the phone, and then open this file ontop of it. Rewrite your phone and min numbers then write all to the phone. You may loose all contacts in your phone, but its flashed to cricket!

All other instructions are posted up by other members so be sure to do some research. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

How can you make the k612 be detected by Kyocera PST, It detects with Chameleon but doesn't want to cooperate with me...

Any help in the right direction is appreciated...

I base all com ports on QPST. If QPST does not recognize the com port its time for me to back track. I start rolling back drivers and downloading different ones. I noticed that kyocera pst takes a few seconds (10-30) to recognize the phone. Make sure you add your com port to the kyocera pst configuration. There is a little button on the bottom right hand corner of the configuration box that lets you add your com port. I've never used Chameleon before so I dont know how that software works. I'm assuming if one software detects the phone, the others will also so its a matter of configuration. Also make sure Chameleon is not open when kpst is open, kpst will not detect the phone. One software should be used at a time.

Hope that helps

to d1ufear72: there is another file floating around similar to mine in hofo i believe for the k612b, mine will not work. This file is specifically written for the k612. Do some research and you will find it.

for kfosh: your supposed to open the file in kpst, and if you havent already gotten a data cable to make the switch, its never going to work.

GOOD LUCK

Once you've connected the phone to kpst, you open the file with (open file) It will automaticly load and then you have to send it to the phone. Make sure you know the SPC code.
