I seen the ipod touch, and i'm in love with it. The problem is that i already have the ipod video. I had the ipod nano too, but purchased the ipod video since i ran out of memory in my nano(2 gig)...should i? Oh yeah, it's with my money!..oh yeah..lol...if i sell my ipod video to my family members(dad or sister), is that rude? Am i a terrible family member?

The iPod touch seems like a gimmick to me. But if you really want it, then go for.

I don't think its bad to sell stuff like that to family members. Unless it was a gift and you are trying to sell it back to the person who bought it for you.

Just curious why you think it's a gimmick?

Just having the ability to browse the internet on it is worth it. It beats me either going upstairs to my desktop or waiting for my laptop to boot just to google something.

Tip: if you'll use it to play music in your car, have it integrated into your stereo's buttons. Having to navigate the touch screen while going 60mph down the freeway isn't safe.

I agree. I bought my iPod for music and the occasional video on-the-go, so capacity is important to me. The iPod Touch seems silly, and if you get one of those, you might as well get an iPhone and just leave it in airplane mode. I know it costs more, but it's much more versatile and the updates are free (thanks Apple, or not).

Just my 2¢

I think it is a gimmick for several reasons. It seems like an iPod that they just threw a touch screen on for no real reason. Sure it has wifi, but so does the iPhone. If you're spending that much on something anyway, why not just splurge a bit and get an iPhone instead, which is capable of far more?

It also has far less capacity than a regular iPod, yet the price is still significantly higher I believe.
