Thinking of buying a new mp3 player

Right now I have a Sansa 8G, but im looking for a new one. I just don't know what to choose.....Ipod, Zune or Ipod touch, etc. What do you suggest?

I like the iPod Classics personally. Simple and straightforward, and there are a TON of accessories to go along with them. Very versatile and they work well. I don't need fancy features (ehem, iPod Touch) or anything like that. I just want a music player that I can use in or out of my car. The iPod Classic delivers.

P.S. - I hate Apple.

I'm not a huge Apple fan, either, but I have to agree with the Classic. I had one a few months back. It's really easy to use with one hand while not looking at it. I used it 90% of the time in my car. Good size, battery life, capacity, etc.

I have an 8gb Video Nano (not the new one) and think it's a tad small sometimes when I'm driving. It likes to fall on the floor a lot. It's nice how light it is, though, because if I do drop it on the floor of the car I can just pull it up by the cable and it won't unplug.

You can probably pick up the 80 gig Zune for cheaper now that the 120 gig was released. Personally I use a 30 gig Zune and LOVE IT, however some complain about the large size- personally I don't care. The newer gen ones (4,8,80,120) are lighter.

Zune ftw. the UI is absolutely fantastic compared to ipods. I find those quite..."boring".

Yeah that may be, but I can't plug in and control a Zune from my Pioneer deck. That was my main motivation to buy an iPod, thought it does meet my needs overall. I'd prefer to buy something other than Apple though.

I just use my phone, but I didn't mind the iPod nano.

I personally use my ipod touch every day, almost all day. It is absolutely amazing the stuff i can do with it, and i love it sooo much.
I dont have a fancy, schamcy phone, but i do have wifi pretty much wherever i go (campus at school) and i use it to check my email, surf between classes, and i've even done some homework on it.
the downfall is size, i only have an 8 gig, but for what i do with it, its... not plenty, but enough.

so basically, it all depends on your situation and how you plan on using it.

only downside about the zune and zune2's is the lack of an equalizer. But I love my zune 80gb. The new 3.0 firmware kind of screwed things up...occasionally have to hard reset the device because of the slowing tempo bug, but at least the new firmware added a clock, marketplace option and games!!
