A co-worker had a 1990 mazda b2200 sitting at storage yard for the last 6 months , he traded it to a friend of a friend of mine for some stereo work on his other truck . so this stereo installer ripped the entire interior apart ( dash too) . thought the truck was a pos and was gonna sell it . I happened to find out he was gonna sell it , he thought the engine was just about cooked and wasn't worth much so i picked it for 50 bucks . Called the insurance company got insurance and registered it .

I fired it up and drove it home with no dash lol . Now what i didn't know was they had used 2 cans of seafoam in hopes to save the 2.2 , one full can in the oil and another in the vacuum lines ....... man did it smoke to the point when i was stopped at a light i couldn't see anything lmao . So now i'm a we bit embarrassed at this point and make it home to find the valve cover pouring oil on the exhaust manifold .

So in the last 2 weeks of having it i have done plugs ,wires, cap, rotor, valve cover gasket, oil change with a bottle of lucas too putting everything back together and she runs like new - no smoke no misses idles and drives like a dream . the body is fair and has some rust issues but fixable with replacement panels .

So i am $225 in to this lil truck and it is so fun to drive and very cheap on gas . Now should i flip it or keep it ? i have 2 other thirsty autos and this is wayyyyy cheaper by far to drive . I've already had two offers one for 700 with a 81 dodge halfton on trade and my co-worker wants it back for a 1000 bucks now that it runs better than he has ever seen lol

And the wife accutaly like it and wasn't mad at me for bring it home unlike my other past flips and projects

To flip or not ???

I think that answers it right there.

After spending 225$ and 2 weeks on not making it smoke anymore is a keeper.
It would have been a different story if it still does that twice or three times the cost and you still have the problem, but you fixed it and it runs like a champ.
