it's pretty much the same price as the sx1 right??

YES, it is worth it. but no, the sl55 is a lot cheaper than the sx1 when it comes out. i hear the sx1 is going to be around $900 or so when it first comes out.

The SL55 is much cheaper than the SX1. The fone has just recently been released so it will be costly what new mobile isn't?
The price tag will definately drop within the first few months a little but in 6 months... it will even cheaper and alot more people will be buying aswell.

yes....a nice BIG drop in 6 months will be nice.

IMHO, i don't need to be the first to have the greatest and lastest anymore. i would rather pay a cheaper price and have more bugs fixed than pay for a phone that has a lot of bugs.

I havent regret the sl55 for a minute, but its a wonderful phone and i would spend $500 for it, but luckily for me mines was a gift from my godmother from HK.....this phone is...shdakdhajksbdasbdibsaidbaisdbnksdb.....i cant describe it in words....too gooood to put into words....

Yeah well I'm in Cali and AT&T is 850 so I need that 850 band.

absoutly worth, not the reason I'm owner of it...

I have played with many tiny phones, but due to the fact that the size of the main borad of the phone itself, usually don't have the volume up/ down key. However, SL55 does + a voice record key (that you can find in R520 or may be v3682)

and all the short cuts key + cutom short cut menu + organized menu

I love the file expoler, browse and customize all stuff in once.. works like 3650's... organized wap profile settings and capbable to create subfolders for wap bookmarks.. I love to keep things organized!!!!

support both MMF and midi (really loud, trust me, I only use 2/4 volume)... good voice quality, both in headset and speaker phone... *** I really mean it ****

resonable RF and battery life

elegant looking (I really hate GD55's antenna + no GPRS!)

nice games and no freeze screen like T68i...

SL55 is more than you can expected in a SMALL PHONE! and doesn't have those common problems of small phones..

The only regret is I love the Ruby color which is still not available yet.... This phone is another reliable small phone after my v3682

I thing that I want to point out, is the design idea of SL55 is NOT come from Nokia 7650. But a very old Siemens phone -> SL10

bro, i'm OLD school in these forums.

i've been in these forums for quite some time now. the new siemens phones are up and coming.

patiently waiting for the sx1 like everyone else.
