Shuttle (CDM 8964VM) USB Connection?

Hey gang. I've taken a look at all the information on the new Shuttle phone from Virgin Mobile. It looks pretty sexy. However, I want to know about the potential USB connectivity of the phone before I get too attached (planning on picking one up over the weekend).

Does anyone know if it has a specific port on it for data connections (like with the Snapper)? I know with the Slice/Super Slice that data could be done through the charging port (it was just mini-USB), but it would kill the phone.

Also, I'm now seeing some online shops selling a data cable (DICU8935) for USB connection. I was curious as if anyone bought one of these cables and tried to get into it via BitPim or something. Not to mention I'm a little wary since they says it's a mini-USB connection (which brings up all of those posts about the Slice/Super Slice).

Anyway, thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to any information you have!

It does have the data/charge port.

In trying to look into the cable myself, I've noticed it appears the Shuttle was even initially expected to have the 8965 model number. The cable I'm turning up for it says DICU8965.

I'm planning to mess around a bit with anything I can do via miniSD card (when it arrives) before playing guinea pig with a cable myself....

Sorry for the delay but I've had a lack of free time as of late. Anyway, I've played around with the phone a little.

First off, there is no separate data port. Instead it's (I'm guessing) a combo data/power port. Also, it's not USB.

With the Micro SD card you can pull your photos off of the phone (which is good news). I haven't tried putting in ringtones though. From what I know, you can't assign MP3 files as ringtones that are on the card. You can't even transfer MP3s from the card to the phone...

I'll take a look around about the data cable. Maybe more people are offering them now that the phone's been out for a week.

the product ID I'm turning up is DICU8935 from tesco. It says it's compatible with the 8964/8965.

Ya'll post here when you figure it out. I just want to charge my phone by USB instead of the wall.
