What kind of car do you have? I would highly recommend a retrofit with HID projectors. Naturally this costs more but it looks ridiculous when someone tosses HIDs into reflective halogen housings. The other night I saw an Element with HIDs and the glare went up 2-3 stories of the building in front of it. Yuck.

^ good advice. Do it right, use retrofit.

yes, please adjust your headlights if you must intstall them into OEM housing

btw 200 seems a bit steep.
how about trying lockdownsecurity.ca
then again it depends on what kinda kit u have and what kinda car its going onto

go projectors or go home

regardless of price. outcome is less than desirable.

Stock halogens > HIDs without retrofit, any day of the week. I just laugh to myself when I see cars with lights that shine anywhere but in front of them. However, I am impressed when I see a properly retrofitted car - props to them for getting it done right.

What brand? $200 is somewhat expensive unless you're buying some brand name product.

My friend's neighbor just put a 'MaxVision' 4.3K HID kit into his '07 Lancer. He said it was $160 and he put it in himself. I haven't seen it at night but at dusk the cut off didn't look too bad.
I really just don't like the thought of HIDs without a proper retrofit. The driver's side bulb on my car just went out so I bought a pair of Sylvania Silverstar Ultras for $23 shipped. Good enough for me.
