I tried using the dead phone usb flashing in phoenix 2008 with firmware 5.51 an it send the boot code and then it said opening update server then it faild

Would it make a difference if first you changed the product code via NSS, & then tried to flash it?

Damn....I never knew a failed FW update could be so devastating. I guess your only hope is to send it to Nokia.
