Nice, a little DNB thrown in there too. I will listen to Roni Size or Dilinja, maybe Grooverider every once in a while.

paul oakenfold, miguel migs

Posted by: j majors

all sorts,

klaas has been making some really good remixes.
hoxton whores are great too
wideboys for all the bassline stuff
dirty south is pretty much number 1 in my books the the time being
phonat is another
and last but not least... the young punx.

get some of their stuff, and you can fill your pod with some of the best electro house in the omniverse

Posted by: GiantCow

Deadmau5, Fragma, Above and Beyond, Gabriel and Dresden, Cosmic Gate.

Posted by: CellphoneFreaks

Digweed (before he got into electro, ahhhh the good old days Prog House Marathon set. Sigh......), Dave Seaman, Infusion, Pendulum, Luke Fair, Jonathan Lisle......

Posted by: tmobiley

I just got into the whole techno scene about a week or so ago.

I like Basshunter - anything else like it?

Some of the stuff you guys mention is good - thanks for helping me build my playlist!

Posted by: ikermalli

Yeah bass hunter is good i like organ donor by DJ Shadow, but everything else by him sucks. Lol, DJ Khaled! Haha, all he says is "We the best" right? Talk about a true mixer

Posted by: eggsuperperson

Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Infected Mushroom, Basshunter, Leon Bolier, Yahel, David Guetta, Alex Gaudino, ATB, Collide, some others.

I don't think they all qualify as DJ's though

Posted by: Heavy Fluid

If you haven't checked out Deadmau5, you need to. This guy is just unreal.

Posted by: CellphoneFreaks

If anyone is interest; John Digweed will be playing @ Mayan in L.A. on March 11th. If you've been following this great legend than you'll know digger play only the best set at the Mayan, I even think he play better than many NYE parties. As you may know it's a Wednesday, that means less candy raver kids and expect a mature crowd. It's a historical place and now digger is coming back once more, if you are excited like me than don't miss it. I'm taking Thursday off!

Posted by: alexgreiton

Dash Berlin, yeah pretty good.

My favorite DJ is Cosmic Gate

I am surprised that Steve Porter really hasn't been mentioned. Have any of you listened to his stuff? Really stellar mixing.

He's good with his "porter house" style Prog house back then, great sound he developed and great support from big name DJ's. He's almost as talented as Quivver in my book.
SInce the whole electronic scene changed, producers are adapting to new sounds and too many new comers, he probably change name/alias and doing other things, who knows.... Many old school DJ's are fading away or change alias to stay in the game, I think

Posted by: Heavy Fluid

He just put out a free promo mix, I got it through Facebook, as I am a fan of his. Great new kind of sound. I will try to link it when I can.

Posted by: Heavy Fluid

Here it is: http://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/ekxnfx

Be sure to download and listen to it, not really his Porterhouse style of mixing or song selection.

Posted by: CellphoneFreaks

Thanks for the link, DL ing

Posted by: Heavy Fluid

Let me know what you think about that one.

Heavy Fluid, I can tell you know your music bro. By any chance you DJ or produce?
Thanks again for sharing great music man!

Dan

Well, I do a little basement mixing, nothing fancy. Just a mixer and a dual cd deck. I can't do much with it but beat match. I have sort of given up on it. I would love to have a whole new setup, but cannot justify the expense of the equipment.

You spin?

I hear you man, I kinda gave up on spining too. I was very active few years back, did a few events, but not anymore, getting old lol. But I'm still into producing, creating/developing my own sound which is twice as fun as spinning, in my opinion

Posted by: Heavy Fluid

Cool. You have any stuff I can check out? I am always up for listening to new stuff.

Posted by: CellphoneFreaks

This is my artist page I've set up few years ago: www.musicv2.com/artist/astra
I have about 10 tracks there, mostly original works, few remixes and bootlegs.
For some reason, some of the quality got lost when I upload them, but most of them are fine.
Let me know how you think

Posted by: Heavy Fluid

Thanks, I will have to check that out.

Posted by: CellphoneFreaks

No problem bro. I'm more of a "old school" kind of guy, hope you like my stuff
