Hey Folks.

I have a question about the way the cell market works seeing as how I'm pretty new to this whole thing.

How long does it usually take for unlocked phone to show up for sale after they are made available by the providers?

I ask this because I'm looking forward to buying an unlocked S56 as soon as it's available (I'm assuming that the one from letstalk is locked to Cingular?).

Also, who are the reputable sellers of unlocked phones? I know about just-talk, expansys, and GSM Phonesource.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

There are many reputable stores... the ones you have mentioned are some of the more popular. There are also stores like UStronics and Romeo HiFi that are used by some users on HoFo.
As for unlocked fones... it depends on the fone I have seen some fones hit the import and/or specialty stores very quick and some have been within a 1-3 month time frame.
