What is the use of paying for Snapmedia when if a person has vision they can go to sites and download ringtones, screensavers, etc. ? I hear you can also assign to the phonebook for caller id ,but you can do that from the phone. That way a person has better knowledge of the phone that is owned. Just wondering . Thanks

Good question

I know that SnapSync is useful for phonebooks and such...

SnapMedia, though, is beyond me.

Maybe people just don't want to pay the $15 for Vision.

Thank you for your reply ! I didnt think anyone was going to answer. I can See sync up to Outlook, but the SnapMedia threw me. I can see using the SnapDialer if you own a laptop and on the go also.Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ????? Anyone else have a comment on why use SnapMedia if you can download Ringtones, wallpapers , and screensavers for sites for free ?

I think if you like want to customize your phone without having to rely on freebie sites or vision then this is the way to go. I could be wrong since I have yet to see it myself.

Dlb15 - Snapdialer is a waste of money too. All you need to do is to download the USB drivers for your phone, and set up a dial-up connection in Windows. Snapsync is the only program I could see paying for.

Gkreator - There are places on the net like 3gupload.com. Where you can upload & store your wallpapers, games, and ringtones that you created personaly, then send them to your phone through Vision.

What # do I need to use to configure the dialup? Or are you using a dialup service? I know the PCS connection software dials #777. Please enlighten me.

Sweet! It works! I found an older topic to figure it out. Thanks for the help!

I see...so really it is useless but people still want the option to pay money for free ringtones !!!

Lets see, pay 15$ every month or pay a one time charge for the phone software. Especially if ringtones and graphics are all that they use.
Some people don't like messing with vaults and 'free' sites, and prefer to keep things to their local machines.
Don't knock it.

Wow, that's a great resource. Thanks for sharing!

True, I don't have any reason to pay pay Vision when I would rarely use, I mean how often do you actually download ringers or use the directory.

also, there's a much larger memory bank for what you download, rather than uploate through software on your pc.... Another reason to stay away from snapmedia.

Just read some info on this, The new update was supposed to fix this so that the uploads from PC use the same memory as the downloads. This was for the 8100 and possibly other phones as well. It is much easier to find and downlaod on a PC then simply upload with this software....that is if it works and if this is true about the changes with the update.
