I can't seem to get my lg ax 585 to be recognized with bitpim, i seen that some people have got their rhythm to connect to it but i' not sure how. All i am looking to do is transfer ringtones to it. being i have 100+ ringtones on my pc i'm not super excited to have to re-buy all of them. so any help would be to get it connected would be appreciated.

you need to put the rhythm into modem mode when you plug the phone in. also you need the drivers for the phone. the drivers for the phone LGVX8500 will work for any of the following phones: scoop, glimmer, rhythm, and 8600. you can get the drviers i believe on LGs site. then just follow the steps how to put ringtones as you do the glimmer. also you might have to set bitpim to auto detect the com port.
