Hello,
I am new to editing to doing this. So here it goes. I am using BitPim 1.0.6. I was able to get songs to work for ringtones. I would like to replace them with smaller versions. During the replacement process, I get an error. Am I doing this correct to remove the unwanted ringtone? I have an LG enV2 VX9100 from Verizon.

BitPim version: 1.0.6-official
An unexpected exception has occurred.
Please see the help for details on what to do.

Thank you for your help,

The best/easiest way is to simply delete them on the phone, using the phone's menus. Then just upload your new versions.

Can you even see them on your phone? i had a somewhat similar error and i ended up going over the space i had on my phone. had to load bitpim again and delete ringtones because they didnt show up at all on the phone. or is that not the case?...check your memory status on the phone

My phone is recognized. Right now I am unable to do anything. It sees my phone, but it will not transfer data either direction.

I have this problem occasionally with bluetooth, if your using bluetooth, then un-pair your phone, then pair it again. That should work.
I'm guessing the cable connection method uses virtual serial ports too? If so then try plugging into a different usb port, or uninstall the drivers. PM me for specifics, I can also tell you how to get rid of unused serial ports when they start stacking up and still saying they are being used when they obviously are not
