Nationwide Familyshare Connect; reasonable?

Okay, so I realized that I like the Nationwide Familyshare Connect plan.
Does $119.98 for 3 lines on the Connect plan w/ 700 minutes seem reasonable? I used to pay this much just for America's Choice II Basic w/ 700 minutes until some of the surcharges changed and it got lower.

It's a solid plan if you don't want to worry about Megabyte usage and need mobile e-mail. Mobile e-mail is $5 a month and just to download it you'll already be using $2 worth of megabytes. Each time you check it, you'll be using MB as well.. it basically ends up being a savings of $5 and any megabyte usage you would normally use. And of course you get unlimited messaging and V Cast.

Unlimited VCAST is not included in Connect, just in Premium--all the other stuff you mentioned is.

ahh Gracias. I meant unlimited MB's. good save.

Hmm... too bad I don't have any HTML-browser phones. But I don't feel like paying Verizon just to look through the brew catalog.

I think I'll change =]

Even the non-html browser phones do better these days. Verizon added Optimized Web no too long ago. It helps mobile browsers render html pages by splitting them, doing some formatting and sending them to your phone. There is also a zoom-out feature that lets you see an overview of the whole page and go directly to a particular section.

I have a question about the connect plan as well. Are all the features in this plan for all three lines, or just the main one? I'm on Alltel and am thinking about switching to the Family Connect 1400 after the acquisition is complete on 1/9.

If it's a family share plan and all lines are on the Connect plan, not just the primary, then all of them will get the same features (it's just that the secondary lines are more expensive on Connect, and also Premium, than they are on Select/Basic).

I see you responded to my other question in another thread as well, so I'll ask here. I have a Touch Pro and a Blackberry Pearl, plus another non-smartphone all sharing with Alltel right now. Could I use the smartphones with the connect plan, or do I HAVE to have the smartphone plan? Thanks for the info in both threads.

No, unfortunately neither the Connect nor the Premium plans are compatible with PDA or BB phones (just the regular/feature phones). You can have the BB or PDA phones on Basic or Select plans and then add any necessary data features that the phones might require or need (or you can have them on bundled voice and data plans that exist for BB and PDA phones, and I guess even unlimited as well).

To expand on this a little, you could make the non-smartphone the primary line, on the Connect plan. Then you can add the two smartphones as secondary lines, on the Select pan. You can then add the smartphone data plans to just the two secondary lines (Select plans). That should give you what you're looking for.
