This page says that the utcstarcom f1000 can easily switch between AP's without dropping a call: http://www.skifactz.com/wifi/wifi_sip_phone2.htm

This would be a very nice feature, although I would prefer to buy a phone with some sort of web capabilities.

I do not yet have a newer SIP capable phone...

I have tried looking into this everywhere, but it looks to me that this is not a common feature on other sip capable phones such as the nokias? How easy is it to configure use for different AP's with the N95, for example?

Any other phones that can either easily associate with new AP's or switch between them without entering new settings every time? I will not be using this phone for cell service (only voip/wifi) but I realize I am an atypical user

AFAIK, only handoffs between AP's on the same network are possible (as in a corporate/warehouse/enterprise environment).
