Anyone notice a similar antenna connector / or antenna leads that could possibly be soldered to when you were dissasembling another brand of SIP capable cell phone?

I did quite a bit of searching around, and it looks like no one else is doing this- but my experience with pcmcia wifi cards is that many will have a built in antenna jack even though they are not set up to let the user acces it. Is this true with other wifi capable cell phones?

Also, I have a related question regarding transmit power, etc - anone know of any information pertaining to the transmit power, quality, etc (mW ) of the built in wifi adapters in any SIP capable mobile phones?

it seems that most/ all of these type of devices (from looking at lots of pics of people dissasembling wifi phones/ pdas- have a manufacturing RF test point that looks like -if you were able to find the correct type of connector/ plug- it would be simple to plug right in- but it also seems likley that doing this opens up a whole nother can of worms regarding antenna impedence...

any thoughts?

any info on RF manufacturing test points or what type of connector this is?
