SL55 software speed

Hi, i would like to know if the SL55 software is lagging...
Liek those of Nokia....
When you type an SMS, would you see the characters coming out instantaneously like the old non-colour phones? Or is there a lag time?
Also, wat are the languages supported? Chinese included?
