I have the 8260, and I can text to anyone in North America, but not to family in Europe or Japan. I talked to the Rogers people, and they say that they don't support worldwide sms, but I can use the 'write message' to send e-mails to other people's phones in Asia etc. The problem is, that you can't type in letters when in the 'text message' menu, you can only type in numbers. So, is there a way to program (or RE- program) my phone to either send sms's worldwide, or somehow change the 'text message' menu so I can send e-mails around the world?
