You know that T-Mobile offers a landline service for $10.00/month? (http://www.t-mobileathome.com/) it is a VOIP service, and can save the average consumer some big bucks! I happen to be a T-Mobile sales rep, and can help you get the service setup- I can also make it worth your while, rather than doing it online... Stuff like free shipping...

I had one experience with the pre announced T-Mobile telephone line.

I got a cell phone, Bold?. I got a modem, never worked. I got a double contract, mine said 29.95, my faves 400 minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, 9.99 for phone service.

Modem was dead, didn't have a land line for 15 days, cell plan was actually 40 bucks + 224.95 data + 9.99 telephone, never got a dial tone.

The Blackberry had a busted camera, was used, had names and numbers in the phone book, had 28 lovely pics of some local girls, 28 to be exact. Nasty. Manager swore phone was never activated. Actually, Tmo said it had been activated several times.

Manager liked using the F word on his customers, his catch phrase, never happen.

So, we got a kiosk in the middle of a mall, Tmo exclusive dealer, a manager with a rage problem, missing inventory, double contracts, at least 5 official operating companies as the deal fit, porn pics of locals on an unactivated camera, which didn't work, double contracts, no tele service.

I spent $100., 58. and 27. dollars worth of prepaid minutes. I went back to the kiosk for the equipment that would be here tomorrow. 25 times. Was without phone service and two telephones promised with the wifi home router, never received. Manager had all my credit card info on a piece of paper, I closed the account, got charged $324. for phones, which would be refunded, not, owes me $100. rebate.

There's a lot more, but think before you do this, it isn't worth the aggravation and you really don't save anything.

Unfortunately, bad experience happen with everyone. I am sorry that you were shat on by the authorized dealers- however it sounds like nothing they sold you really worked... I wouldn't say it is the service.

If I can offer some advice, I would suggest anytime you are working with cell phone carrier- work with the corporate locations. Dealers can really be shady- This is not to say that all dealers are shady... but some are- so the best way to get around this is to always work with the corporate locations. Now, I know the dealers may sometimes offer better deals, however, it is worth a few bucks to know that everything you are receiving is new and covered.

Good luck in the future- and I am sorry T-Mobile gave you such a bad experience. I know that I have been a T-Mobile customer since 2003, and have been extremely happy- in fact, so happy that I went to work with them in 2007...
