Popping sound on SL55

I have the worst intermittent popping sound during calls from the new SL55 that I got today. Anyone getting these?
It's like there was rice krispies popping in the phone. It isn't dependant on quality of signal it appears.

Hmm. Not experiencing that. Where'd you get the phone from? FW version?

I only got it today, so I will take it back tomorrow to compare it to others. I hope it's only this phone, and not the whole batch that the store has in stock.

As for the firmware, it's pretty stable. V7.0

It seems that when the phone is not in use for a while, it will not pop for the first 2-3 minutes, then it starts up little by little, and then after 10 minutes it will be popping more than once per minute.

The pops are like the kind of pops that you would hear in an old phonograph. They are not circuit related, and people on the other side can't hear the. They are not related to call reception either.

Bummer.

I think your SL55 has been having an affair with a SE t610! Thank god I have no sound problems with the SL55. I also have version .07 of the firmware and my calls are crystal clear. Could you be in a location with bad coverage?

After using the infamous SL55 today I found the RF to be great. All the calls I made were crystal clear I heard no popping sounds or any type of static. Not sure if it's your fone in particular or just your coverage area but if you're taking the fone back to the store to compare it with others you'll find out
