is it possible to use sprint.com as a SMTP server when using phone as a modem (laptop) and sending e-mail ?

or is there any other SMTP that can be use ?

I know that my POPs are working when checking mail

Sprint is in the cell phone business, not e-mail provider business. They don't have dedicated SMTP servers. If you have access to the internet through your vision phone, then go to your personal sprintpcs site and log into your sprint e-mail through there...

Otherwise, you're out of luck.

anyhow to all of you ppl if you need SMTP server to send mail from outlook, just sign up for a free account with www.softhome.net
they provide both incoming and outgoing e-mail servers plus they`re free of spamers so no junk mail on your accout

I stand corrected and offer Lukas my sincerest apologies.

However, imap does not = pop. Even though it looks like the smtp will work fine.

Either imap or pop will work, but I can't remember whether it's pop3 or just pop for the incoming mail. - sheureka
