Blocking a number?

Can anyone tell me if there is any way to block a number that is calling? Ive tried to use the command that you would use for a house phone, but does not work with the sprint phones.

I'm not sure if you can. I use a silence ringer I think I got from myphonefiles.com

Maybe you could assign a different ringer to the number that you do not want calling you. You would need to put the number in your phone book to give it the special ringer but at least you would know not to pickup.

There is no way to block the number from reaching your phone (i.e., "call block" doesn't exist). Unfortunately the only idea would be to change your number, which is oftentimes impractical...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Wirelessly posted (Sanyo 5300: Mozilla/4.0 (MobilePhone SCP-5300/1.0) NetFront/3.0 MMP/2.0)

I just set the ringer to none in the phonebook for numbers I don't want to hear from. I call the listing "don't answer". I even set my phone not to ring for on no id calls too as these are usually marketers. Works very well. A client/friend will leave a voice message.

One of my favorite Sanyo phone features!

Wow! You get telemarketer phone calls on your cell?

I'd be pissed...plus I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

I have an 800# for my business that forwards into my home office phone, then after four rings, goes to my PCS phone. It works quite well and I can use my "free" SPCS voice mail as an endpoint and catch-all for all calls.

I have anonymous call rejection on my home office line, and interestingly, when someone calls it thru the 800#, it strips out any blocking, so I see who is calling even on blocked calls. Telemarketers only call the local number, so this setup is almost perfect. The problem is the telemarketers that cheat with anonymizer devices that hash the caller ID signal. These calls show as unknown ID. My phone doesn't even ring for these. My home phone still does.

Sheesh, what a lot of detail. I charge $85 and hour for some of that info...LOL
