Chat & VOIP interconnections?

I have accounts with several different online chat and VOIP services: Google, ICQ, Gizmo, WLM, Truphone, GrandCentral & Voicestick. There are some easy connections between some of these services (e.g. Google Talk -> Truphone, GrandCentral -> Gizmo). Others don't seem so straight forward. I've been reading about SIPBroker but I don't quite understand its function. I understand the dial-in access numbers. I don't understand how it helps in calling from one VIOP service to another.

Is there a FAQ or How-To someplace on setting up calling between different services? Also, is there a way to call a Vonage number this way? Thanks.

Followup to my own question. A service called Gtalk2VOIP.com provides a VOIP gateway in and out for Google Talk. Calls to and from SIP numbers are free. Calls to real phones cost money. You add "service@gtalk2VOIP" to your Google Talk contacts and then chat "HELP".
