Newer SIM cards are better?

I'm about to upgrade my phone and just wondering if I should use the new SIM card that comes with it, or just keep using the old one? I'm asking because I suppose the newer cards might have more memory and what not.

Thanks.

Since you have T-Mobile, if it's not an older Powertel, VoiceStream, Omnipoint or other previous acquisitions, just use the one you have. The current T-Mobile cards have been the same since they became T-Mobile and offer nothing extra.

A new (unactivated) SIM doesn't require the changing of the number. When I purchase a phone from a carrier, it comes with a SIM card which I generally don't use if I already have a perfectly good SIM which will work in the phone. You just call the carrier and tell them to switch your phone number from the old SIM to the new SIM. This renders your old SIM useless (and can't be reactivated again). Depending on the carrier, they might ask you for a reason and you can say that your old SIM was damaged/lost.

Generally, I won't use a new SIM unless I have problems with the old SIM.
