Are there any mods for the 6340i. I would love to be able to manually switch between GSM/TDMA/Analog. Also anything that I can do to brighten the display, and for the record many do not seem to like the bright blue dispalys, I wouldn't mind being able to have one on the 6340i. Similar is there a mod out there for 6340i keypad lights, anyway to brighten them as well.

I would love to be able to access menu 4-4-2 it is for network selection. I'm not sure if it blocked out because i am currenty using TDMA or because it may be blocked out all together. I unlocked my 6340i and put a tmobile sim in it and it showed the menu, so i'm pretty sure that it has to do with either only GSM or is blocked on my GAIT SIM card. If anyone knows more about this let me know.

You could get different LED's and/or get them bridged, then your 6340i will be like a flashlight.

I was just about to post the same original question about switching modes. I'm on Cingular in a TDMA market that is going GSM in a few months, and once it does I'd like to put the phone in GSM mode to see if the coverage is adequate to warrant getting a GSM only phone.
