Is there a way to turn off 3G on Matrix

Getting in the Matrix and Eternity tonight. We do not have 3G yet where we live so we were hoping to turn off 3G for now to conserve battery power. I found out how to do it on the Eternity on these forums, but I haven't been able to find out how to do it on the Matrix.
So, does anyone know how to turn off 3G on the Matrix?
