How do you make a vodafone usb modem work on Vista?

I recently purchased a Vodafone usb modem model Huawei E220 which works fine on XP but point blank refuses to work on Vista. Vodafone have not released any updated drivers to sort this problem. Did any of you computer Whizz Kids out there find any way to overcome this. Cheers
