I am currently in the market for some new earbuds for my iPhone and iPod. I had a set of the bose earbuds but I accidently washed them last week. I am planning to go the apple store tonight to pick something else out to replace my old ones. Currently Im looking at the following: Bose earbuds, the new apple earbuds, v mora vibes, sennheiser and shure. All of these models are within the price range ($120 and under). Any insight on any of these other brands is much appreciated. I am looking for something that has similar or better than the Bose ones I had previously.

I think the best ones to try are SONY MDR something something...iforgot the model number but i have them and they have a very goood sound quality. BOse ones actually suck. I didnt like them at all. Also, another good one to try is sennhaizer. Shure i never tried.

yep the sennheisers are good and I heard the Shures are good as well. personally I only like the over-the-ear kind as the in-ear headphones hurt my ears plus you have a higher chance of losing your hearing with the in-ear headphones and I usually have a tendency of turning up the volume too high!

How much do you want to spend? I'd recommend the Shure E3's considering you can get them for $60 shipped when they used to be $200.

If you are paying Blose prices, I'd go a little higher and go with Westone or equivalent Shure depending on your musical tastes.

Nu force m7 is what i think they are called

I got a fabolous deal on ebay for about 29USD shipping included on the Sony MDRNC6 Noise Canceling on-ear headphones

do you wreck your headphones a lot? If you do maybe get some with replacement programs like skull candy. if you break/lose them they will let you buy another pair for cheap.

Radius Atomic Bass

I heard they are supposed to be good and they are only $30-$40.

I just purchased a set of M-Audio IE-10's. They are amazing, they absolutely blow away my Sennheiser and JBL headphones. They are in-ear monitors with a 26 dB noise reduction rating so they are very easy to hear in loud environments. Best sound from any earbud style headphone I've ever heard

How much did that set you back?

$400 or so?

C$130 including shipping, insurance, and GST. I ordered them from Axe Music in Edmonton.

I still can't believe the sound coming from them.

Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 are very cheap on eBay nowadays.

Judging by the specs they are probably closest to the SuperFi 5's (they use Ultimate Ears tech). Worth every penny.
