There is a gameboy emulator, Mame emulator and a SCUMM Emulator but no snes one to my knowledge

Dude! We need a MAME port badly. If I could play BMX from California Games on a phone, I might get it now instead of waiting for the price to come down! Hells yeah!

Oh, and I would be interested in half of the original poster's question. Do you think the P800 is powerful enough to play SNES games? I don't really care much about Gameboy, but if I were able to play Link to the Past on the P800, I would use any means necessary to find the money to buy the phone this instant.

Imagine, a ZSNES port...drooooooool.......

of course, what we really need is some sort of controller. I don't have my P800, but how easy is it to play DOOM with the scroll wheel and stylus? Not very, I imagine...

Mame for P800 is available not too easy to control ... monkey island and Day of the tentacle work a treat on the SCumm Emulator because of the touch screen as does strategic command

games designed for p800 are great

That's awesome that MAME is already out. I saw some games on the list that I'd really enjoy playing.

But what about my question? Is it possible for the P800 to play SNES games? It sure seems to have the processor for it, and all I can find out about the SNES processor was that it was supposedly around 3MHz! That seems low to me. Anyway, that would be a killer app for me, and would make me buy the phone this instant.

How are games even playable? There is no joystick. You get a jog dial--with difficult up/down movements, and a cam + browser button... Best bet would be for people to write games to work in flip-closed mode so you have all the buttons on the flip to play with.

Oh well, I suspect it will be quite a while before anybody has patched something up, and the ZSNES people say they have absolutely no plans to port to any more OS's. Oh well indeed.
