t68 sms/memory questions

when i check my SMS memory status, it says
phone memory: 86% full
sim memory 80% full
-when i get messages, it fills up to the phone memory first. isn't it meant to save to sim first?
-my inbox is sorted by date, but not my sent items. why not?
-how do i delete sms msgs saved to the sim, but have them stay saved on the phone
-if both memories fill up and i receive msgs, will i still receive and save them?
-each sms saved to the sms takes up 10% memory. is it meant to take up so much?
