Smartphone 2002 in Canada or USA

Hey all,

Ive been following the development of the smartphone 2002 platform. Back in february, M$ and Rogers announced that the smartphone will be in canada

"In addition, Rogers plans to become the first of Canada's four major wireless carriers to sell a Smartphone 2002-based cell phone, which typically have more functions than handsets running Pocket PC phone edition, according to Rogers. The carrier did not release the price of the Siemens phone or additional details about the launch of the Smartphone 2002 handset."

However, I emailed a couple of highlevel people at Rogers and ATT and they all seemed to say something different for a release date for the phone. This is some of what they have said:

1) "We expect to release in Q2"

2)"All is still on the same plan and I still do not have a concrete retail available date. Our initial plan is to go out Enterprise first.
"

3) "Unfortunately there has not been any formal announcement date yet for here in the US except that it will be this year."

-Anyways, if anyone out there has anymore information on availability in Canada or the USA please post it here.
Any information would be appreciated.
