Its been a while since ive been able to use Myxer to download ringtones from their site but they are finally back to working with verizon phones and I am very happy.
IF you have never used myxer. com before i recommned checking them out. it the only real legit place to get free mobile stuff for your phone

I thought it always worked? My friends all have verizon and thats all they ever have used. I just got texting so I haven't tried it yet so I don't know.

Yeah but the only downside is that most of the stuff on there when you go to download it says, "Sorry this content is not available for Verizon Wireless subscribers" or something like that.

It always worked but for a while you had to go through email. You can now download directly via txt message. Much easier!!

nicknackxx - if you log in you wont get that message...

if you log in, you wont' get that message, BUT, you won't be able to get the same songs either.

Not logged in, I searched for some tool ringtones.........tried to send to my phone, got that message.

Logged into the site.........searched for tool songs...............and they are all gone. Looks like the removed a bunch of songs for Verizon customers, so you can't get A LOT of the songs/ringtones from popular bands. I'm sure it's for copyright purposes or something.

I tried it this way to:
Not logged in, I searched for some tool ringtones.........tried to send to my phone, got that message.......but it asks you to sign in...........so I have to tool song on my screen, click send to phone, put in #..........boom, I get the same message. LAME. oh well.

This is my first time ever trying to load a tone. I downloaded a ringtone from zedge to my supported Samsung Alias 2 using MobileMe. Everything(URL, code) went OK until I tried the final step of downloading the tone I wanted, then my A 2 said something like "unsupported mime"

Got the same message from funformobile too.

Any help or suggestions?

Are you actually trying to download this from the browser on the phone?

Yes. Isn't that possible? The zedge site said it supports A 2s.

I don't have a USB cable.

Can't say that I've seen a VZW feature phone that allows for that, especially with a WAP browser. You'd need to try it from a computer and then probably send it to yourself (via a MMS message) and save it that way, or perhaps do it using a USB cable (which you'd need to get in that case).
