I will be going to London and Paris in a few weeks and was wondering what my options are for using my phone in Europe. I have a 2G iPhone on AT&T service and also an unlocked RAZR V3i. I was looking into a prepaid international SIM or changing my AT&T plan to international while I was there. I would mainly be calling my friend who will also be in London/Paris and who also has AT&T. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

Your best bet would be the unlocked RAZR V3i. As long as it has the correct GSM bands, you won't need to do anything. Just use an international SIM in it.

Prepaid SIM's might be the cheapest of the two options.

While you're in the UK, Orange's Camel prepaid SIM is quite attractive. It has very low rates for overseas calls (6p/min to US, 7p/min to Canada). You can check the Orange website (http://www.orange.co.uk) to see what the rates are to France.
