I first searched for this phone around here and only came up with a few hits, none of which really gave me the information I'm looking for.

I have a Sony Ericsson T616 phone branded AT&T which is the network I originally used it on (a few years ago), now I have a different SIM card I want to use in it which is also on AT&T, but it just says "Insert Correct SIM card." The phone shows these locks:

Network <locked icon> 5
Network Subset <unlocked icon> 5
Service Provider <unlocked icon> 5
Corporate <unlocked icon> 5

First I'm trying to figure out if this unlock is just as simple as entering a code or if it requires a dongle and software?

If it is just a code, how do I find out the code? Do I have to call AT&T or can I get the code else where?

search craigs list for "Unlock Phone". there are many online selers offering unlock codes for $15 - $20 on average.
