I've got a new Super Slice with problems. I've used it for about two months, and about two weeks ago, it started locking up, meaning frozen screen where none of the buttons do anything, when either anyone calls me, and I don't answer, or I press the redial button to redial a number, (which is the call button, which works when calling a dialed number, or from my number memory) but when I press to redial, it freezes the screen. If I don't answer a call, the screen freezes. the only way to resolve this is by removing the battery, and replacing it. I normally chew off all my fingernails, but I have had to let my left index fingernail grow, so I can remove the battery easily. I hardly ever chew my fingernails anymore because of this.
Anyways, someone told me that it's a programming issue??? I have the usb cable for this phone, if there is a fix thereby. Also the reason I purchased the cable was so I could enter ring-tones from my computer, but I have come to learn, that Virgin Mobile purposely cripples that function, so you would have to buy them from VM!! That sucks!! Is there a way to unlock, that so I could? I'm not going to pay $1.99 per ring-tone, and NOBODY should! I call for a boycott on their ring-tones!! That is BLACKMAIL! Anyways if anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it. Thank You

this is a problem with every super slice i've heard of. i had issues with it on mine too. and theres no fix for it so you'll just have to deal with it or get a new phone.

try doing a master reset??

Hello all, First, Thanks for the replies. Here's an update reguarding my problem. I was going to just trash this phone, hell I only paid $50 for it, but I decided to give VM a call, and complain to them since I've been a $50 a month customer with them for over a year now. The first call got me no where, but that just pissed me off, and I kept calling. They finally said, they would replace the phone, got transferred, then told we would first have to troubleshoot the phone, which was a master reset, (thanks anyways), and some other mumbo jumbo tests, then wait till the next day to verify nothing worked. Well, after about six calls to VM, they finally agreed to send me a new red super slice! Thanks VM! I received the new phone in three days. That's today, I called it from home, and didn't answer it, and whoah-lah, it didn't lock up! I hate the fact that the USB access is crippled, but at least I now have a functional phone. I can chew my fingernails down till it hurts now, Oh well.
