If you have $8000 USD, what car do you buy?

Posted by: Sfkn2

1992 Toyota MR2 N/A, but will then get a JDM engine/turbo swap.

I should have said, I'm not looking to have a FAST race car.. Just a Car.. no engine swaps, etc ;P

The one in 2F2F is a Lancer Evolution 8.. I don't think $8000 can get you a Lancer either.. I guess a Corolla or an Accord will suffice for you...

civic or corolla once again

Integra

Or if you can afford (time and money wise) to maintain it, get yourself a mid to late 80s big body Benz! Here ya go, get this one, it's already in Flordia and it's got looooow miles http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...9&category=6331

Altough mine was an 85 and had 375,000 miles when I sold it, and it ran strong.

Well, no I can't get a Evo of course, but this I can what do you think:

$8,900 Cash, I can get the extra $900.

2002 MITSUBISHI LANCER ES, 4 door, 10K mi, auto., ac, ps, pb, pw, pl, cruise, tilt, ABS, am/fm, CD, one owner, priced to sell fast, fin. $8900, WAC or as low as $177/mo.,

Then I add a the lancer spoiler for $200, and maybe some rims.

We need a "booing" or a "thumbs down" smiley..

Posted by: kromix

lol....... ok tell me why you wouldn't take that deal?

Posted by: spike78

kromix, I think that's a nice car... and it's 2002-low milleage anyway

are you sure that the ABS is included with ES model? I remember only LS model has ABS, I don't think ABS is even available as an option.

check mitsubishicars.com...

It's not that scary. It looks like it crashed well like it should, with the hood crumpling and bending back properly to absorb the impact.

I'd say it wouldn't cost more than $4,000 (USD) to fix, so there you have a $8,900 Matrix. I bet it goes to a used car dealership where it will be sold for a couple grand more.

hmm..
94-2001 integra?
old body accord?

I COMPLETELY second the Volvo 850-- its a glorious car, very sturdy, VERY safe, very classy styling, very low maintenance, and it will run for half a million miles easy! MMM-- love em-- if you can swing an 850Turbo or especially a T-5 or R you would have the fastest wolf in sheeps clothing on the road! 240hp in the R-- it's a true rocket!

That's impossible.

It's rice.... STOCK rice.

For 8000, you can get a whole buncha stuff. 1999-2000 models, all in pretty good condition. Pick up a used car periodical and make some calls.
