Ok, so I have a question on WFG that I thought I would know but am drawing a blank and no search yields results.
Situation:

New line of service, number was ported in. My buddy triend tried one phone (was defective,) not satisfied, now on second phone of a different model. Still not sold on it. Can the number be ported out and cancelled within the 30 day return policy (probably less a $35 restocing fee?) I'd have hom call a rep but I figured with HoFoers I'd get a fast clear answer.

Thanks

yes you can port out within the WFG...and Verizon will cover the calls (or so they say) lol

I appreciate the input but I need a rep or someone who really knows. This is a difficult question because the WFG may be void after you swap to a different phone. And the Test Drive is over, they no longer pay for your calls, no offense but after that I can't take your word on WFG as fact.

Test Drive is over, that's correct. You are allowed one phone exchange for a different model under the Worry Free Guarantee, but you also have 30 days from the original purchase/upgrade to completely return and undo the whole purchase/upgrade without ETF, even if you used up the one exchange to a different model (other charges like for prorated usage, possibly activation, restocking fee, etc. might still apply).

Im a verizon rep. You can return the device and port your number to whatever you want but verizon no longer picks up the tab on your usage when you port out. You will not be charged an early termination fee but you might want to make sure that the rep you are working with doesnt cancel your account completely because that number wont be available to you anymore once the account is canceled. you also will not have to pay the 35 dollar restock fee. you will be charged for the activation fee, that will come on the bill with your partial month usage.

Thank you C DM and dynasty82.

Im very sorry to bring back an old thread but I found this in a search and had a question on this very topic.

I have 4 line family share. I upgraded a line and got an env2. A couple days later I found the Alias 2 and exchanged it. Now I see the env3 comming out in a couple days and would like to exchange the alias for it. Having one exchange, how can I do that? Can I cancel the upgrade and redo it for the env3? I dont care about a restocking fee, I just dont want to pay full price for the env3. If I make nice nice to a manager, could they override the 1 exchange policy? What are my options?

Thanks!

You can try it all out, but realistically your only option might be to simply return the phone you have, undo the whole upgrade, get a refund, get everything reset back to what you had, and then upgrade all over again to another phone that you want, although you probably need to wait at least a few days to do it all again.

That sounds like quite a hassle, and I dont want to have to wait a few days (im not so good at patience). Maybe ill have to go with full price and then ebay the other phone to make up the difference.

Thanks

your going to have to pay full retail. verizon only allows for 1 exchange within that 30 days. You should maybe consider spending some time at the store and play with the phones, so your not constantly exchanging phones. it looks really bad on your account and managers are going to have a tendency to make less exceptions for you since you have a tendency to change your mind none stop.
