N95 Housing Change Help

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

So I managed to change the housing on my N95, but I now that its all messed up I want to buy an oem housing...problem is that I can't take off the faceplate anymore. I think I jacked up one of the screws which holds the faceplate down...none of my tools seems to work...I think I lost the grooves on the screw so the screwdriver won't catch on. Is there any way I can fix this or take off the screw so I can get a replacement screw and housing? or am I out of luck? I read somewhere that cheap mobile tools can mess things up...if that is true, this is the last time I get a set off of eBay.

Make your N95 phone look brand new again. Genuine replacement housing for your Nokia N95 in Sand colour. Pack includes: Front Housing (Silver) Battery Cover (Sand)

Try using a driver one size bigger. I have the similar problem on one of my screws that holds the face plate. They fit a T5 usually, and one screw head is kinda stripped, so I tried using a T6 to try to fit in there and it works every time.

Or i think it might be T4 going on T5. One of the two combos, I forgot at the moment.

Thanks - I tried doing that but unfortunately...it appears the screw head is so bad that the bigger screw driver doesn't catch on.

Here's a random thought - maybe I should super glue one of the drivers to the screw...worth a shot? I would have to make sure I don't flood it though or otherwise I'm screwed...its going to have to be some surgical work haha

also try using different size precision screwdrivers.
