t300- boot lock

hi
i just bought a t300 from someone on this board, and its got a boot lock on it.
ive been through sony, tmobile, and a bunch of stores in the city (nyc), no one seems to be able to help.
can anyone here point me in the right direction? are there any stores in the nyc area that can help?
