How many times have you dropped your P800

I dropped it twice today and I just got this phone over the weekend.

I was surprised that the protective bag did actually give some protections. As far as I can tell, the phone is still working fine. I dropped it from about a door handle height- about 1.5 meter or so.

so far
2 times

first time was when I was holding it and it dropped on the floor when I was sitting on the floor of my school. No damage

second time was today. I was sitting on those chair that they have wheels to them (usually used in office and computer rooms) My P800 just fell of my pocket and fit the floor... it was like 50cm. again No damage

You guys are flirting with disaster...accidents do and will happen, but be aware that it only takes a small but "unfortunately located" lick to crack the LCD....Had a friend who dropped his from waist height and cracked the LCD on a wood floor...A case like a Krussel is a must to help prevent this kind of incident....

Never dropped mine without the case on...actually...never dropped them....

good tip, i didn't mean to drop mine but then again no one MEANS to..... i jstu forgot what pocket its in. I don't like the krussel case the case i want is the hip pocked case offered in the SE exective pack, i'd buy the pack but i don't need the stylus's and the extra earphoen set.....

peace

Never. In fact, I've only dropped ANY phone (except for my 3390...since I didn't really care...) maybe two or three times. The worst one (again, except 3390...) was when I dropped my T39mc from about waist height in a parking lot.

Surprisingly...zero damage.

ONE QUESTION. SINCE THIS PHONE IS NOT SUPPORTED BY CARRIERS IN THE U.S. YET, IS THERE ANY WAY TO INSURE YOUR PHONE. LIKE BENGAL SAID ACCIDENTS DO AND WILL HAPPEN, SO IF IT DOES HAPPEN, I DON'T WANNA BE OUT 650 BUCKS!

let me ask you guys, and gals this, when you drop your phone is it instinctive to try to catch it with your foot? what i mean is do you try and break the fall of the phone so it won't hit that hard on the ground. i personally haven't dropped my p800 yet, but when i've dropped my phones in the past, this is what i've done.
in fact i've saved glasses, and a camera with this same move!
peace out

Proud to say that I have never dropped mine (knock on wood )

Not Yet

tomdog22: NICE move...saving things by breaking the fall using your foot, ive done that a few times too, but once i kicked the phone instead and it flew a lot further : woops

Bengalboy: whose that chick in your signature??

Actually mine dropped last night, from kitchen counter to hard saturnia floor. It was on silent mode, and a couple of calls came in and the vibration made it to fall.
the plastic case was out of place but no cracks or scratches, actually I was very surprise it did not break the LCD or case, it only broke one of the small taps on the side of the flip.
Already ordered a replacement flip.
good luck. to all.

I dropped my phone on the street from about 1.5m. The battery cover came off and the battery flew off. The lower corner of my cover got a big ding in it but no other damage.

I have actually dropped mine several times onto a tiled floor and no damage. I guess I'm just livin' right.

whoa! door handle height? What kinda doors you got? 1.5 meters is about 5 feet! O_o

I dropped my first P800 once from a height of about 5 feet or a little more. It flew out of my pocket and then down to a concrete floor. It spun a few times on the floor when it landed. Amazingly not a scratch on the phone. A few days after that I sold it to a cousin.

lol did you tell her you droped it? and did it work fine?

Thanxs,
Joey

I did tell him that I dropped it. As I said nothing was wrong with it and until this day nothing is wrong with it.

O ok.

Thanxs,
Joey
