There is a notification of a change on my verizon bill and I was wondering if this would be grounds for getting out of my contract without paying the ETF.
It says starting 5/03/09, when you send a picture or video message to multiple recipients you will be charged once for each recipient.

Is this supposed to be new? I thought they always did this. Anyway, I don't think the contract has something about MMS so no I don't think it would get you out of an ETF.

I thought maybe this would constitute a "material" change to my contract since if I keep doing the same thing after 5/3 as I'm doing now it is going to cost me more than it would now. I heard people were getting out of their contracts when the text message rates went up because of the "material" change or whatever. I guess I'll just go see.

Wirelessly posted (out there: BlackBerry9530/4.7.0.109 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Does your contract state that an mms addressed to multiple people will be billed ad one message? Have you looked?

Yeah, I always thought they did this too, but perhaps not.

Any case, as you mentioned, messaging is not part of the plan/contract itself (somewhat unfortunately), so this wouldn't really have much of an effect on contracts one way or another.
