Anyone successfully connected to PC's internet using Bluetooth from phone (Sony Ericsson W760)?
I made it as far as connecting from phone to PC, but can't surf from phone.
PC setup:
WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software 5.1.0.1100
BT Network Access: Allow other devices to access the Internet/LAN via this computer.
Windows ICS on my internet connection.
Windows Network Connections: Bluetooth Network IP address changed from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.10.1/24 (avoid conflict with DSL modem's 192.168.0.1).
Phone setup:
Enabled Allow local conn. on Internet Settings
Any thoughts?? Thanks..

I've got this figured out! It turned out that Windows XP also disables its DHCP server when you change the IP address from the default 192.168.0.1. Without using another application, I have at least two options:
1) Set up static IP addresses on clients, since there is no DHCP server; or
2) Leave Windows ICS server address alone (192.168.0.1) and find a way to eliminate the conflicting IP adress from the DSL modem.
I chose 2) above, and the change was simple. Just move the PPPoE function from the DSL modem onto the router. The DSL modem is not taking up 192.168.0.1 anymore.
The downside is easy access to the DSL modem (Speedstream) through http://192.168.0.1. To reconfigure the DSL modem, I think you'll have to physically connect a network cable from a PC (no PPPeE) to the DSL modem, and give your PC a static IP such as 192.168.0.2. I have not tried this lately, I think this is what I did long time back.
Now my bluetooth devices can get an IP address from Windows ICS, and get on the internet through PC's DSL connection!
Is this info useful to anyone?
