TFT v. STN and 4K v. 65K Colors

I have a P800 and was discussing the T610/616 with my wife. I mentioned, in my usual know it all way, that the P800 had a TFT screen but 4K colors whereas the T610/616 had 65K colors but a STN screen. She asked me what difference did it make as practical matter whether the screen was TFT or STN, or 4K v. 65K colors. My response. 
Can anyone shed any light on the difference as a practical matter with the screen being TFT or STN, or 4K v. 65K colors? TIA

Well, as far as 4k vs 64k colors, my T610 display blows the P800 away !!! That is to be expected.
On the color uniformity (STN vs TFT), the T610 has brightness drops as you get closer to the edge of the screen, and the P800 is perfectly uniform. But the T610 overall appearance is brighter than the P800
