Does anyone have recommendations for 3rd party software for the P800? I don't see much out there, but maybe I don't know where to look.

Handy Day 3.0 - if you need the P800 to be a better PDA
Opera - if you need a non-WAP browser
There is a pretty good financial calculator if you currently carry an HP-12C around...

Still waiting for an editor for MS Word/Excel

File Manager -- a free utility was one of the first pieces of software I dl'd. I use it mostly for its "Task Manager" and the ability to shut down apps that are running in the background. As the name implies, it does also manage files on your P800

There's also a PC File Manager that lets you manage files from the P800 on your PC. It's from Epocware and I've used it often.

If you don't already have Opera, the web browser -- do it now!

For me -- I sync Outlook notes to my phone and they go into the Jotter app. But the Jotter app doesn't have the ability to sort so I was constantly having to use the Find feature. I finally bought Mobipocket's Office Companion that allows me to convert Word Documents (and more) and my notes into a format that can be read with their program Mobipocket Reader. That sorts my notes alphabetically which is useful to me. Alas, though you can read Office docs, etc. you cannot edit them with this program.

Some like Mobipocket reader since you can dl books and read them on your P800.

Also look at Handy Date and Handy Days and Worldmate. From there, I'm sure others will chime in.

RepliGo is a must-have, IMHO. It reads Word, Excel, PDF's, emails, Web Pages, text, etc., etc. as they look in their original format.

You need to convert the file on your PC into a format RepliGo will recognize, but the results are stunning. It allows you to zoom, full-page reading, format to screen width, and many other options. It really is worth the $24.95. Not cheap, but if you work with a lot of files, web pages, and emails that you like to keep with you at all times, it's invaluable.

I have installed Active Desk, which is a launcher application - gives me my tasks, appointments, and new messages on one screen, as well as one-click access to create new messages, contacts, tasks, and to the control panel, internet, etc. It also has a built-in task manager that allows you to shut down applications, and save memory. I'm very happy with it.

The other application that I use all the time is StockWatch, from AppForge. I know that people like AppForge, and it occasionally crashes, but I like it. It gives me a screen with updates of stock prices via GPRS. I think it's the usual 20-minute delay that you get on other free services.

I work in the equity business, and this little app makes me the envy of my colleagues. I haven't yet set it up to trade, but that's the next step!

Haven't yet found any must-have games, but I have installed Repton, which is fun.
