GD87, Oh no! thats poor!

Hi, I've had my GD87 now for around 3 weeks, when i got it i entered some frequently used words to the dictionary for sms and it remembered them.....great! However 2 or 3 weeks later any of those words that have not been used are no longer recognised by the phone, and there were quite a few, tried a few of them and the phones forgotten them. Is this the case with all GD87's or is there a way the permanantly add them to the dictionary? Thanks in advance for any help!

If I am not mistaken, go under abc and not under T9 and key in your words. It will automatically save the words into your phone.

Thats exactly what i did and then tested them using T9, they all worked fine, but 2 weeks later T9 no longer recognises them

It might be because you removed the battery.

I also suspect thst entries in T9 get 'lost' if you remove the battery.

Suppose its possible the same may happen if the battery goes flat as well.

I haven't let the bat go flat or removed it and my entries seem to have survived over a long period of time.

it could be firmware related

Try to update to A39. I have that and I don't seem to have that problem.

Thanks for all the reply's, however i have already updated to A39. Also i have re-entered some words then removed the battery for a while (this is what i thought it might be) but the words still remained, so it seems to me that after a while the phone just fails to remember them if you don't use them very often, hope i'm wrong though cause abc mode is a pain compared to T9.
