data charge confusion

every month I keep getting billed for data usage based on the $1.99 per MB charge. However, I'm not downloading anything or accessing the internet. I have unlimited txt, pix, and flix so I don't understand why I am being charged for data when I am not using any. I get sent pictures and videos but since I have unlimited messaging, there should not be any data charges right?
I have an LG VX8300 if that makes any difference...

hmmm. best thing to do is just call verizon customer service and ask them whats up. they should be able to give you some answers. without looking at your account its a crap shoot trying to figure out what it is. i mean i can give you a list of things it could be that would be 10 pages long(not exactly) but you get my drift. also the best thing to do is have them block everything you dont plan to use, like mobile web, vcast, premium text messaging. Blocking these features doesnt effect your text or picture messaging, it will just keep you from any expensive surprises in the future. My pocket has accessed the web many times, and verizon isnt going to credit you for pocket usage.

what exactly is premium text messaging? I've called customer service twice and the first time they dropped the charges, the second time i had them block anything to do with get it now and mobile web. Even after blocking those things, I'm still getting charged for something. I guess I'll have to call again

keep in mind that, if you just recently blocked something you may still notice charges on the most recent bill since that bill may have posted before you blocked the content. Premium text messages are 3rd party messages that normally provide a product or service. Like those commercials you see on tv that tell you to text such and such number and put in a code for a ring tone or horoscope or something.
