App Signing

I have a few apps that work well on my i580 but are not signed, and generate quite a few security prompts when accessing user data and other restricted information. The frustrating part is that I am only given the option of granting access "only once", when what I really want is to grant access "Always". Would signing the apps give me this ability? If so, can I sign an app when all I have is the JAD & JAR files, or does signing have to occur at some earlier stage?

Yes and no.
Yes... A signed app can remove the need for these prompts.
and No... Just having the files does no good. A unique (to the app) key is generated that allows the app access to the phones API's. Look up posts by Steve Punter in this forum for more details.
