I was just wondering if you guys can help me out with a small dilemma i having right now.
I currently have a T68i and i can get a GD88 for free from my friend, so the problem is, should i keep my T68i or should i use the GD88?
Can you guys give me a quick pro and con list of the two phones, as well as your opinions on which i should use on a regular basis?
Thanx for your help guys

Do it!

Pros of GD88:

Camera
65K color screen
16 chord poly ring tones
and some other stuff, I reckon the t68i sucks

Just get the GD88!

if your an ATT Wirless cust. the only con I can give ya is that there are no extra games available to dl.

Posted by: Danneck

Well there are really no reason to hesitate replacing it. The T68i is an ok phone but it is no match compared to gd87!

Posted by: Spic

I am with rogers ATT in canada
can i dl games with them? Or do i need to unlock it?

What the hell is there to compare, there is no comparison. The GD88 by far is a superior phone to the t68i. And if you can get it for free, why don't you just get it?
Jeeze~

Posted by: Spic

i am gooing to get the GD88 regardless, i just dont know if i should keep it or sell both of them for a better phone.
Any suggestions?

Tried quite a few recent phones and to be honest i'm sticking with my GD87, very nice phone, just wish the ringing volume was a little louder and the predictive text remembered words for more than a couple of weeks.

Yes, I've been used both phone b4, and now I got another GX10i and my friend got hte T610, still I'll say that the GD87 was the better one among all this, the only thing to say is the ringing was not loud enough.

BTW you can use the PSMplayer to bring up the volume of the midi b4 you send it to your phone, deano968.

And last for Spic, if you plan to keep your GD87, you can sell your T68 if you can get a good price now, because price will drop when new phone keep coming out.

Thanks for the info about PSMplayer, where can i get it and how do you increase the volume of a midi with it? Also is it noticably louder? Cheers!

Posted by: ray5liang

I have the PSMplayer in chinese version, do you need it? I can send it to you.

Posted by: deano968

Just downloaded it but thanks for the offer mate.

blah, I think you guys are plain biased. I own both phones and I have to give my following analysis:

Battery Life: t68i > gd87/88
Time for Battery to Recharge: t68i < gd87/88
Features and Function: t68i > gd87/88
Color Screen: t68i < gd87/88
Camera: t68i < gd87/88 (but if t68i users connect the addon cam, the picture quality is much better than gd87/88's quality)
Ring tone: t68i < gd87/88
Contact Book: t68i > gd87/88
Bluetooth Support: t68i > gd87/88
Reception: (A bit hard to gauge...)

and yes, t68i does have the obvious delay in menu naviagation, but it's because it's so damn feature packed and its memory is used up to the max. gd87/88 on the other hand, have a lot of untapped memory resource. (do a search for the thread)

and blah blahs... I can't be bothered to think up a more comprehensive list right now, so hah. Currently, I have two lines, and the phones I use are s300 and t68i. My friend is borrowing my gd87... he doesn't seem to mind the short battery life.

u think we're biased???!!! look at u! ure praising a 2 year old phone! I mean ok they were friggin awesome when they came out.. but come on man... i sold mine ages ago.. its so old! the T610 is FAR superior then the GD-88 HOWEVER.. i like the GD88 MORE than the t68! So.... for someone who says WE are biased.. u sure seem to be as well...

thats my two cents!

I cannot understand how someone can even compare the T68 with the GD88...
C'mon guys... I mean they're 2 different planets.
It's like comparing a Porsche Carrera (aka the GD88) and a Honda S2000 (the T68i). Two great cars, but when it comes doen to style, perfection, ect etc.... the Porsche has no comparison...

Sorry, I'm just a big fan of the GD88...

No it's like a comparing a phone origininally designed for a business user (t68i) to a phone designed to flash off and look cool. The t68 plus bluetooth headset is definetly something flashy as well, i have the hbh60 and t68i R7A and i just leave the t68 in my locker/bag/car and use the headset. The menu lag was a problem on the earlier firmwares like r6a, but r7a and r8a don't have that issue. I do use the infrared feature as well cauze i hate using datacables. The t68 is a phone that you can't really flash off with cauze all the color flips look cooler but featurewise it's still superior. The camera i don't use even though i have the attachment, I prefer just using a regular camera. The screen in the t68 is low resolution but good quality. Basically if you compare t68i to the gd88, t68i is a better phone, even though it's not flashy and you're just looking for features, I charge my phone once every 4 days. If you want a better screen plus camera get the t610 which is definetly better than the gd88.

I do not agree!

T68i is good for bluetooth...
GD88?Piece of art man!
